About Us

Helping organizations innovate in aging services
We believe that the aging services network is ready to enter a cycle set in motion by 30 years of advances in human-centered computer interaction maturing into a complex, proven ecosystem of software systems, hardware devices, myriad services, and evidence-based applications — all intended to grant powers that help people stay active, social, and purposeful.
We are dedicated to helping people make the most of that tech in ways that advance the experience of living with cognitive change, and the business of caring.
AgeTech domain experts
We are gerontechnologists with deep foundations in virtual reality for healthcare, and with extensive experience in aging services leadership, particularly in change management, operations and business strategy, communications, and marketing.
Purposeful and passionate, too . . .
. . . about improving person-centered care using human-centered tech tools, and about contributing to the success of age-friendly environments that encourage healthy living, where care partners are empowered and rewarded by serving older adults and their circles of care.

Who We Are
We’ll meet you at the intersection of person-centered care and human-centered tech

Linda Jacobson
Principal Consultant, Immersive Solutions for Aging & Healthcare
I am passionate about applying healthcare market strategy and immersive/smart media expertise to help people use technologies to enhance aging with dignity. I’ve been developing immersive tech strategies for more than 30 years, with experience in leadership roles for major care providers, tech companies, research centers, and AgeTech startups. As a communicator, educator, and connector, I was a co-founding editor of Wired magazine and wrote many foundational AI patents for R&D scientists; later, as the world’s first Virtual Reality Evangelist (1995-2001), I started bridging the gap between tech and business strategy and began integrating immersion, AI, and healthcare into enterprise platforms. I introduced VR to hundreds of organizations. From 2014-2016, I took a break from tech to work in aging services. Since then I’ve applied gerontology findings to help develop VR training, spatial design, and therapeutic applications.
I’m an active participant in IEEE’s Technology Standards for Aging workgroup and director emeritus of Virtual World Society. I wish that my 3 sons were impressed that I authored the influential books CyberArts and Garage Virtual Reality.
